Mumbai/Pratapgarh : Renowned industrialist and eminent social worker from Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, Arun Mishra, has been conferred with the prestigious “Popular Civilian Icon of India Award 2026” for his exceptional contribution to society and outstanding humanitarian service. The award stands as a national recognition of his selfless dedication, social impact, and unwavering commitment to humanity.

The grand award ceremony was held at the luxurious Hyatt Hotel, Juhu, Mumbai, and witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities from across the country. Prominent among them were Bollywood actress Sneha Ullal (fame of Salman Khan’s film Lucky), Dr. Anil Kashi Murarka, FWICE President B. N. Tiwari, trading star Anand Pandey, noted cardiologist Dr. H. D. Singh from Jaunpur Krishna Heart Care, senior social workers Ramkumar Pal and V. K. Dubey, national spiritual orator Shri Chandranshu Ji Maharaj, and Mahant Himangi Sakhi, Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhada. Arun Mishra has set a remarkable benchmark in the religious and social sphere by constructing Chandipur Dham in Pratapgarh, which today attracts lakhs of devotees from across the country. His humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020) earned nationwide admiration.

He played a crucial role in safely transporting 12,000 to 15,000 migrant workers from Mumbai to their native places in Pratapgarh and nearby districts, along with arranging food and shelter for the homeless—acts that established him as a true pioneer of social service.

During the award ceremony, a video showcasing Arun Mishra’s relief work during the COVID crisis was screened on a giant screen.
